NeoStrata was founded by Drs Eugene Van Scott and Ruey Yu, the pioneers in discovering Alpha Hydroxy Acids (AHAs) was beneficial to human skin.
Dr. Van Scott received numerous prestigious awards, including the Lasker Award, for groundbreaking research achievements in skin cancer.
When the doctors first started working together in 1966 at Temple University in Philadelphia, they both shared a mutual interest in diseases of the skin. Over fifty percent of all skin problems are due to difficulties in shedding and forming the stratum corneum, so the doctors were determined to find ways to positively influence the formation of new layers of the skin. Their partnership spanned four decades and focused on treatments for psoriasis and skin cancers.
